A Chinese Studies minor consists of six courses:
3 language courses:
- Chinese 201: Intermediate Chinese Level I
- Chinese 202: Intermediate Chinese Level II
- Chinese 400: Language tutorial or intensive language course at or beyond the intermediate level, off-campus
3 cultural courses in translation from among the following:
- Chinese 220: Rebels, Romantics, and Reformers: Being Young in China
- Chinese 222: Women in Chinese Literature
- Chinese 223: Chinese Cinema as Translation of Cultures
- History 200: Traditional China
- History 201: Modern China
- History 237: The United States and China
- Philosophy 222: Chinese Philosophy
