Wooster Chorus
Founded in 1964, the acclaimed Wooster Chorus is comprised of undergraduate students representing all academic areas within The College of Wooster's liberal arts program. Under the direction of Lisa Wong Yozviak, the choir has been praised for its high level of artistry, engaging performances, and enthusiastic singing. The Wooster Chorus presents several concerts both on and off-campus throughout the academic year, and embarks each spring on a week-long domestic tour. Membership is by audition.

Auditions for Wooster Chorus will
take place in room 207 of the Scheide Music Center from August 29 -
September 2. Sign-up sheets will be on the door. If you are new to Wooster and planning to audition, you may bring any solo piece that you
have worked on previously. I would prefer to hear an art song
or folk song, but a Broadway show tune is also acceptable. There will also be a brief sight-reading example to help
me in assessing your music reading skills. An accompanist will be provided.
If you are returning to Wooster and have previously been a member of the Wooster Chorus or Wooster Singers, you will be asked to sing an excerpt from our 2011-2012 literature. If you were enrolled in Wooster Chorus or Wooster Singers during the 2010-2011 year, you will receive this excerpt via email. All other returning students may pick up the excerpt outside of room 207. You may audition by yourself or as a member of a quartet.
