Dr. Thomas C. Brickhouse, professor of philosophy at Lynchburg College, will present "Socrates’ Method of the Elenchos: Does It Only Destroy Knowledge Claims?" on Wednesday, February 29. The lecture will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Scovel 205. A dessert reception will precede the lecture at 7:00 p.m. in the second-floor lobby of Scovel Hall.
Brickhouse received his B.A. from Washington and Lee University and both his M.A. and Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University. His research focuses on Ancient Greek philosophy. He is the co-author of numerous articles on Socrates and Plato, as well as four books:
