Sociology Majors, Class of 2012
Following the introductory course in Sociology, students continue with a course in representing diverse populations, including either Sociology of Gender, Inequality in America, Sociology of the Black Experience, or Racial and Ethnic Groups in America. In addition, students take courses in introductory Anthropology, classical and contemporary Sociological theory, and research methods. Majors then choose from a variety of electives, which may also include two Anthropology courses. Students are also required to take advanced courses in either statistics or ethnography.
