Lilly Project for the Exploration of Vocation

The Lilly House
The Lilly Project at the College of Wooster provides opportunities for the entire College community to engage in serious vocational exploration, discussion, and reflection. Our programs encourage such questions as, “What is worth doing?” and “How can our work contribute to the welfare of others and the global community?”
Two successive generous grants from the Lilly Endowment has allowed us to develop both on and off-campus opportunities for vocational exploration. Each year, at least twelve students are selected to participate in funded summer vocational exploration fellowships and academic programs. These students stay as close by as Orrville, Ohio or venture as far away as India and Africa. Students and faculty who have recently returned from off-campus programs are invited to join ReIntegration workshops to examine how the experience impacted them and will influence their future academic and vocational paths. Finally, students, faculty and staff are encouraged to apply for mini grants to use for smaller vocational exploration projects done primarily during the academic year.
Please take a careful look at our programs and find out how you can engage with the Lilly Project for the Exploration of Vocation.
