Tutorials for Students
You can encourage your students to visit the Writing Center on a voluntary basis or require them to do so. If you require an entire class to come, however, please give us at least two weeks of advance notice. Seniors and juniors working on Independent Study may choose to make a weekly appointment.
Workshops
You can request that Writing Center staff visit your class to lead a workshop on topics such as strategies to avoid plagiarism, writing a thesis-driven paper, effective introductions and conclusions, the recursive writing process, and conducting effective peer review sessions
Print and Online Resources
- Our Resources for Students page provides resources on a range of writing topics that can be useful to both you and your students.
- The Writing Center maintains an up-to-date library of print resources on writing and writing instruction. This library includes Instructor's Editions of several leading textbooks, along with corresponding student workbooks and supplementary texts.
