First Year Applicants

Wooster accepts the Common Application and Wooster Web Application. Wooster's three application deadlines Early Decision, Early Action, and Regular Decision are listed below.

Application Requirements

  • Common Application
  • Counselor Evaluation (Secondary School Report)
  • Transcript
  • Official SAT or ACT Scores
  • Essay
  • Teacher Evaluation (waived for Wooster Web Application)
  • The Wooster Supplement (available through the Common Application website as well)
  • $40 Application Fee (waived if submitted online)

Early Decision: November 15, notification mailed December 15

This is an ideal option if you are certain that Wooster is the right college for you.  Early Decision is considered binding, so if you choose to apply under this option, you must also submit the Early Decision Agreement. If you are still unsure if Early decision is right for you learn more.

Early Action: November 15, notification mailed December 31

Early Action is a non-binding option that offers you an admission notification earlier in the process, and still allows you to consider other colleges and universities. As an Early Action applicant you will receive  admissions notification mailed by December 31. Early Action applications have until May 1 to make their college decision.

Regular Decision: February 15, notification mailed March 15

Should you choose to apply regular decision you will receive an admissions decision by April 1.  If you are accepted and choose to enroll at Wooster, you must submit a $350 enrollment deposit by May 1.  Please note that some of our scholarships require a January 15 application deadline.

Enrollment Deposit

The enrollment and security deposit of $350 is payable on or before May 1 (with the exception of Early Decision candidates) and will be held until graduation or withdrawal from the College in accordance with the policy outlined in the catalogue in the section on expenses. The enrollment deposit may be mailed to the Admissions Office or submitted online.
