Standardized Test Policy
All students are required to submit ACT and/or SAT scores with their application for admission. We have no preference between the two tests. If you submit more than one, we'll only consider the best score. International students are also required to submit a TOEFL score.
The score submission must come from your guidance office or the testing service.
ACT (College of Wooster's ACT code: 3260)
- Best score is determined by the single testing date with the highest composite score.
SAT (College of Wooster's SAT code: 1134)
- Best score is determined by combining the highest score received on each section from any combination of testing dates.
While these tests are intended to predict academic success in college, we realize that they are not always a true indicator of a student's performance in the classroom. Test scores improve our ability to compare applicants across different high schools and regions. Your score is only one component of your application, and it is unusual that a weak score would cause us to rule out an otherwise strong student.
