As an integral part of The College of Wooster, the primary mission of The College of Wooster Art Museum is to support and enhance the College’s goals of teaching, research, and service through exhibitions, scholarship, collection preservation, and public engagement.
The College of Wooster Art Museum recognizes that artists play a crucial role in all aspects of culture and society. By providing direct experience with original works of art, the museum program actively connects art to all kinds of human experiences within a social and historical context and encourages the development of critical thinking and visual literacy. Core goals include promoting campus-wide collaborations and interdisciplinary dialogue and acting as a catalyst for creative engagement between the College and regional and national audiences.
