Summary of Objectives & Goals:  Human Resources

Objective: To strengthen the role of the Office of Human Resources in promoting professional growth for all employees of the College and in carrying out the full range of employee support and benefit functions.

Wooster recognizes the need to develop more fully the scope and services provided by the Office of Human Resources. Such development can eliminate inefficiencies in the current division of responsibilities, increase support for hourly and support staff, and help set and achieve goals for recruiting and retaining minority staff. The following goal is judged of high priority for 2004-08.

GOAL

  1. To undertake a review and strengthening of the College’s organization of and support for human resources, with a view towards integration of such important functions as hiring, orientation, ongoing staff support, and benefits administration.
