Major at Wooster: Business Economics
My classes and assignments at Wooster taught me how to write clearly and concisely. These writing skills have been very helpful in my current job as Project/Program Analyst, where I prepare documents and correspondence on a daily basis that are issued to project teams for review.
The extra-curricular activities I participated in at Wooster taught me numerous soft skills such as how to be a both effective leader and team player. I use these skills since my work involves regularly collaborating face-to-face with large project teams. It is essential for me to know how to approach group situations where a project team’s success is dependent on its ability to work together. I enjoy the work I am currently doing, and don’t plan on leaving the industry/business in the immediate future.
Working for an electrical utility challenges me to learn technical concepts and information that were not a part of my Business Economics education. I am in a position where I can use what I learned at Wooster to add value to my company while also learning an entirely new discipline.
