Major at Wooster: Biochemistry & Molecular Biology
Wooster prepared me for life by allowing me to become more independent. Throughout my time at Wooster I was encouraged to ask for help or advice from others, whether that was my academic advisor or my supervisor at work. Independent Study alone taught me how to dig deeper with a question which is what Forensic Chemistry, the field in which I work, is all about.
Everyday as a Forensic Chemist, I am faced with questions I must uncover. During the summer after graduating from Wooster, I served as an intern and then a Forensic Chemistry Technician before obtaining my current position of Forensic Chemist. My future plans include continuing my training at the Crime lab. I was fortunate to find such a great job in my field of interest, and part of my job is to continue my education by taking courses and participating in professional trainings.
