Major at Wooster: Biology

Even though I was a Biology major at Wooster I was able to take many other classes in different majors. I think this was most beneficial because I have developed much more interest as well as awareness of current issues from classes that I have taken in fields such as Sociology and Environmental Studies. I think this incorporation of many different areas of study has helped me realize that I don't have to limit myself to fields of work that pertain only to the field of science. These classes have also developed my ability to think more critically. Completing Senior Independent Study also increased my confidence in my own work as well as my writing abilities.

Presently I am serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Uganda teaching secondary school Biology and Chemistry and will be doing so for the next two years
