Summary:

The Senior Assistant Director of Admissions is an integral member of the recruitment staff while leading initiatives related to daily visits, special programming, and student ambassadors. This in-person role collaborates with college leadership, key campus partners, and prospective students and families to create memorable and distinctive visit experiences for prospective students and families.  

Essential Departmental Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to all efforts of the visit experience team including recruitment and yield events.  
  • Manage the tour guide program, including hiring, training, and supervising student staff. 
  • Assess applications for admission based on college admission standards and goals, including eligibility of merit aid.  
  • Conduct interviews of prospective students, advising and guiding prospective students and families about the college admission and financial aid processes. 
  • Conduct group information sessions and other public-speaking initiatives promoting the distinctions of the College, our commitment to a global and inclusive campus community, and related topics such as the college search process.  Events will be both in-person and conducted virtually.   
  • Increase College’s brand visibility by cultivating relationships with school and independent counselors and community-based organizations.
  • Coordinate and execute five to six weeks of fall recruitment activity and two weeks during the spring which can include high school visits, college fairs, interviews, special events and counselor meetings.  

Job Requirements:

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree with at least two or three years of applicable experience.  
  • A valid driver’s license.
