Objective
To assist the Farm Manager with daily activities at the Learning Farms and with market development.
Responsibilities
- Integrated Pest Management-maintain good pest management practices skills for special situations that need the Farm Manager’s assistance
- Irrigation Systems-set-up and maintain irrigation systems for the different Learning Farms
- Weekly Harvest-assist at each Learning Farm with large-scale harvests for off-site markets
- Harvest Records-maintain good records of harvest for use at the end of the growing season
- Transplant Management-start and manage transplants for each Learning Farm
- Large Project Assistance-Assist with large projects at each Learning Farm as needed
- Market-Work at off-site markets as needed
