Objective
To obtain practical knowledge in the field of social entrepreneurship by providing assistance to the Liberty Center Connections Housing Initiative Staff in program development.
Responsibilities
To assist the Housing Coordinator with development of the Housing Initiative Program at LCC (researching successful program models; assisting in ensuring that grant requirements are addressed in the housing program; evaluating current programming and look for ways to implement more efficient & impactful activities, assisting in the development of Operations Manuals, Development of Policies & Procedures, etc.).
To begin to develop a Strategic Plan for the Continuum of Care (CoC) that addresses the housing crisis in Wayne County (completing an analysis of available programming in the county to identify the “gaps in services”; working with the Housing Initiative Staff and other CoC members to identify new types of programming that need to be implemented in order to end chronic homelessness; researching available Grant Funding opportunities, review with the Housing Coordinator and discuss application possibilities).
To learn and promote understanding and support of housing issues for recovering individuals and domestic violence within the community at large (network locally and provide community education on these issues; begin to develop a public relations plan including use of social media; attend community networking meetings with the Housing Coordinator; attend Wayne County Housing Coalition meetings with the Housing Coordinator).
