Wenbo ZHENG joined Tsinghua University in 2009. She lectures on interpretation, English reading and British Parliamentary style debate and conducts research in translation and interpretation at the Center for Translation and Interdisciplinary Studies of Tsinghua University. A native of China, she holds an M.A. in simultaneous interpretation and B.A. in English language and literature, both from Beijing Foreign Studies University. Since 2005, she has served as a conference interpreter during the Seventh Asia-Europe Meeting, Beijing Olympic Games, Beijing Forum, and many other events. In January 2012, she presented a speech on new trends in translation education at the CIUTI Forum during her visit to the United Nations Office at Geneva and the University of Geneva. As an amateur violinist, she co-founded Classical Music Society of Beijing Foreign Studies University and organized a number of local charity concerts.
