I write fiction and creative nonfiction and study the literature of the long eighteenth century. I'm currently at work on a novel tentatively titled Killingly, set at Mt. Holyoke College in the 1890s, and am continuing to research the writing lives of a group of early eighteenth-century women writers (Delarivier Manley, Eliza Haywood, Martha Fowke Sansom, and Laetitia Pilkington). My interests include literary history and historiography, biography and autobiography, genre fiction, digital humanities, and textual studies.
