The purpose of our study was to determine how consumers reacted to the differences between the competitive market price and the wholesale market price. Specifically, we were looking for differences between residential, commercial, and industrial consumers in different areas. Therefore, we preformed an Ordinary Least Squares and log odds regression on three different areas. Then we tested our models to determine whether they held across different areas. Lastly, we tested the models for predictive strength and used the models to analyze different ways that energy companies could offer contracts to energy consumers.
