Biography, Performance, and Research

In addition to study at major conservatories in the United States under leading teachers, Dr. Michael Curtis has studied flamenco music in Seville, Spain, held a prestigious Fulbright Scholarship in Uruguay, and studied in Ecuador on a Rotary Scholarship. His guitar teachers include John Holmquist, Thomas Patterson, and Stephen Aron. He has given many performances in the United States and abroad. He has also composed many arrangements and published articles. He has taught guitar at Bowling Green State University and The Inter-American University of Puerto Rico. He enjoys working with other artists and has released four CDs and is working on more. Dr Curtis was appointed at The College of Wooster in 1995.
