Biography, Performance, and Research

Rachael Fleischaker, music education. Appointed in 2012. Rachael holds a Bachelor of Music Education from The College of Wooster (1995) and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with an Emphasis on Urban Education from Kent State University (2002). While at Wooster, she studied oboe under David McGuire, and participated in marching band, symphonic band, orchestra, choral union and small ensembles. She has taught elementary band and vocal music in the public schools for 17 years and is currently teaching in Canton City Schools. She also directs the children’s choir at Central Presbyterian Church in Massillon, OH. Rachael lives in Massillon with her husband, Dan (’94 graduate of Wooster) and their four children.
