Biography, Performance, and Research

Jack Steward was appointed at The College of Wooster in 2006. He holds the Master of Music (Bass Performance), 1982, The University of Michigan; and the B. Mus. (Performance and Music Education), 1980, Cleveland State University. He has worked professionally in all styles of music in the Toledo (Ohio), Akron, Canton, Tuscarawas, Wooster, and Cleveland Chamber Symphonies as section or principal bass, The Ohio Light Opera, big bands, Broadway, chamber music and small jazz ensembles. He has maintained a private studio in his home since 1996.
