Biography, Performance, and Research

Cynthia Warren was appointed at The College of Wooster in 2005. She holds the B.Mus. from University of Akron and attended the University of Cincinnati College – Conservatory of Music for graduate studies. She currently holds the English horn and 3rd oboe positions with the Canton, Akron, and Wheeling Symphony Orchestras as well as the Pittsburgh Ballet Theater and Pittsburgh Opera. She has performed in Argentina, the Cayman Islands, and venues throughout the US, as well as appearing as soloist with the Akron Symphony Orchestra in the world premier of Abertura Concertante for Oboe, English Horn and Orchestra in 2000. She has also performed with the Blossom Festival Orchestra, Erie Philharamonic, Dayton Philharmonic, Cleveland Ballet, and Youngstown Symphony. She has appeared in chamber recitals at the International Double Reed Society Conferences and maintains a private studio in Akron.
