The Electronics Lab is used by students taking Physics 220: Electronics for Scientists. This course is an introduction to the principles and applications of circuit components, operational amplifiers, oscillators, digital logic, analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog, and an introduction to LabVIEW. Students also have the opportunity to do a robots project using Lego Mindstorms NXT robot kits. In the past, students in the Electronics course built a robot metal detector, a robot that measured wind speed, a robot that measured temperatures, and a robot that responded to magnets that enabled it to make turns.
