Research Interests

Professor Corrigan's research interests include nineteenth-century Russian literature (especially Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Chekhov and Solovyov), European literature and philosophy (Romanticism, idealism, existentialism, metaphysics), and twentieth-century Russian poetic movements. He is publishing a number of articles on these topics and working on a book, which examines conflicting visions of the structure of the human personality in nineteenth-century Russian literature.
