Anthropology Majors 2012-2013
Our anthropology program offers a solid core of courses in research methods and theory coupled with a rich assortment of electives. Our faculty have ongoing research projects in North America, Africa, East Asia, and the Mediterranean.
They have expertise in medical anthropology, gender and sexuality studies, magic, witchcraft and religion, linguistic, anthropology, educational anthropology, evolutionary theory, and world systems.
Opportunities to study beyond the campus and to experience other cultures abound. Recent anthropology majors have spent either a semester or a year in such diverse locales as Australia, Samoa, Scotland, Nepal, Ecuador, Japan, and Namibia.
