• Received Great Lakes Colleges Association (GLCA) New Directions Award for travel to Madrid, Barcelona, and Bilbao, Spain to conduct a research project on "Spanish Architecture as a Reflection of Spanish Culture" in the Summer of 2012.

Publications

Uber has published more than 35 articles in various academic journals, and is also conversant in Portuguese. Her current research project is on forms of address in the workplace in Spanish-speaking countries.

Notes

Before coming to Wooster, Uber was a consultant in linguistics and dialectology in the State of New Jersey's Administrative Office of the Courts. Prior to that, she spent seven years as an assistant professor of Spanish at Rutgers University-New Brunswick.
