Alumni of the program report a variety of postgraduate experiences, from M.A. and Ph.D. programs in women's and gender studies, to education, to advocacy for girls, women, and families. Their careers include social work with girls and with Hispanic women, counseling in a rape crisis center and with Planned Parenthood, working as a nurse-midwife, film producing, and working as a Public Relations director for a university Women's Studies Institute. Whatever their chosen field, alumni report the profound impact the major has had on their view of the world, affecting everything from raising children to political action.
