Guidelines for Item Selection Priorities
When submitting orders for library materials (Choice cards, Yellow approval slips, marked items in publisher's catalogs, email requests, etc.), please initial the order and indicate:
Priority 1 - Buy for Wooster
For items that definitely should be bought for the College of Wooster collection, either as circulating or a reference works. An item needed at Wooster as a reference work should always be marked with a 1.
Priority 2 - Buy for CONSORT
For items that should be purchased by the College of Wooster Libraries if there is not already one circulating copy in CONSORT (Denison, Kenyon, Ohio Wesleyan, or Wooster). Circulating CONSORT items are typically available in 3 working days, may be placed on full semester Reserve at any CONSORT institution, and are able to be checked out by I. S. students and faculty for a full semester.
Priority 3 - Buy for OhioLINK
For items that should be purchased by the College of Wooster Libraries if there are 4 or fewer available circulating copies in OhioLINK. Circulating OhioLINK items are typically available in 4-5 working days, and may be checked out for 3 weeks with four renewals, no matter what the borrower’s status.
