Media Collection Services
Archival masters of selected videotaped campus events will be housed in the Libraries' Special Collections Department. A patron may request a copy of the archival video through the Special Collections Department. Patrons should expect a maximum of two working days for processing the request. The copy will be available in the Media Library using the same patron circulation guidlines as other Media course reserve materials. Wooster Forum events will be videotaped by the Information Technology staff if written permission is granted by the speaker (s). One copy will be made from the archival master and become part of the Media course reserves for the fall semester.
The Media Collection provides the following facilities for individual and group viewing of and/or listening to the materials in the Media Collection:
- Individual viewing/listening stations for DVD, VHS, audio CD, CD-ROM, and cassette tape playback.
- Three screening rooms (Bechtel, Davis, and Nesbitt) which may be reserved for group viewing and/or listening.
- Three rooms (Bechtel, Davis, and Nesbitt) which may be used for on-demand small-group viewing and/or listening.
- DVD's, CD's, DVD-R's and CD-R's may be used in the McCoy Lab if you bring your own headphones.
Faculty may reserve videos and DVDs in advance for instructional use.
