Considering Off-Campus Study?

1) Attend an OCS 101 Session (preferably) prior to meeting with the OCS Director. Students may attend at any time - no prior registration is necessary.

For Spring 2013, OCS 101 meetings are held in Babcock Formal Lounge on:

  • Tuesdays 11:00am-11:30am
  • Wednesdays 12:00pm-1:00pm
  • Thursday 4:00pm-5:00pm

NOTE: OCS 101 will continue in Spring 2013.

2) Make an appointment with the Director of OCS for a one-on-one advising appointment. You may sign up for an appointment using the online scheduling system.

3) Talk with your academic advisor about off-campus study, and how it will fit into your educational plan.

4) Research programs.

  • Think about your goals for off-campus study.
  • Reach out to friends, returnees, professors, the OCS office, etc. Stop by Lowry Pit on Tuesdays from 7-9 to talk with a Global Envoy Team member.
  • Contact a Global Envoy for one-on-one advising appointments.
  • Attend OCS Events.
  • Review endorsed program websites.

5) Begin applying for OCS by creating your AbroadOffice account. Plan ahead! Complete applications for off-campus study are due by February 1st of the year preceding OCS.
