Off-Campus Study: Salamanca, Spain (IES Abroad, Spring 2012)
My off-campus program was a total immersion: all of my courses were in Spanish, I stayed with a Spanish speaking host family, and the program directors spoke to us in Spanish. My semester off-campus provided an opportunity for personal development and it challenged my ways of thinking. My time abroad has also shaped and influenced my future career goals and furthered my interests in diplomacy, foreign policy, international politics and continued cultural exchange. I joined the GET to have a chance to speak with other students about OCS, give a personal perspective based on my own experiences off-campus, and be a reference for students who have questions that no brochure can truly answer.
