Major: Anthropology (Environmental Studies minor)
Off-Campus Study: International Sustainable Development Studies Institute (Chiang Mai, Thailand, Fall 2012)
After studying Thai culture and language, sustainable agriculture, the political ecology of forest management, and coastal ecology in different parts of Thailand, I returned to a village south of Chiang Mai this past summer to do research for my I.S. on the community’s organic agriculture movement. During my college career I also participated in the Wooster in Ecuador and Wooster in Kenya programs and did a Lilly Medical Humanitarian Fellowship in South Africa. Inspired by my experiences off campus, I plan to pursue a career in public health. In addition to travel, I love to run, eat good food (especially Thai food!), and be outside!
