Summer Research
Over 75 research assistant positions from a variety of disciplines are available each summer to Wooster students. Opportunities are available at off campus sites as well. The range of these opportunities is described below.

Sophomore Research Program
- Positions available to first-year and sophomore students only
- usually 8 weeks, 40 hour weeks
- Paid $11.60 / hour
- Available positions in a variety of disciplines

Applied Mathematics Research Experience Program (AMRE)
- 9-12 positions available
- 8 weeks research experience
- Paid stipend of approximatly $4,000
- Open to Computer Science, Mathematics, and Business Economics majors
- Students work with a team of students and a faculty member to consult businesses. Past clients have included Rubbermaid Inc., J.M. Smucker, and Goodyear Tire & Rubber

NSF-Research Experience for Undergraduates Summer Program in Physics
- Approximately 10 positions available
- 10-week research experience
- Paid stipend of approximatly $6,000
- Funding is provided through the National Science Foundation

Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) Summer Research Scholars (SRS)
- 8 - 10 weeks, 40 hour weeks
- Paid $13.02/ hour
- Funding is provided through the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Science Education Program
- Positions available in a variety of disciplines

Clare Boothe Luce Research Scholars Program
- Positions available to First-year & Sophomore women with a minimum GPA of 3.5 planning to major in the physical sciences
- Two year research commitment, working 8 - 10 weeks for 40 hours per week over the summer
- Paid $13.50 per hour
- Funding is provided through the Clare Boothe Luce Program
