MORE INFORMATION
1. What is MDID?
Developed at James Madison University,
the Madison Digital Image Database (MDID)
software brings the digital image library into the teaching and
learning process.
MDID is an online image database and multimedia instructional system
designed to create and show Internet-based lectures using digitized
images.
The system permits instructors to remotely generate “slideshows”,
which can be annotated, placed online for student study, or archived
for testing or future use.
2. MDID and the Ambassadors Program
The Ambassadors Program uses MDID to archive all items purchased
overseas by the student Ambassadors. Each item is catalogued by
country in the searchable database, and the pictures shown may be
used for slideshows and classroom presentations.
In addition, this database serves as the basis for a lending library.
In keeping with the Ambassadors Program mission of being the world
to Wooster in a hands-on manner the items listed on the database
are available to the College of Wooster community and select groups
outside our campus to use in their classrooms so that students can
examine, handle and learn from them. (Any items unable to be loaned
out are so noted in the database)

Should the items not be returned within ONE MONTH of the due date
a bill will be issued for the replacement cost of the item.
The general condition of each item is listed in the database. Should
an item be returned in a condition inferior to that in which it
