About The College of Wooster Art Museum
The College of Wooster Art Museum has been located in the Ebert Art Center in the heart of the beautiful, wooded, College of Wooster campus since 1997 when the former Severance Art Studio building underwent a complete renovation and readaptation. The Art Museum occupies an addition built on the north side of Ebert and consists of two gallery spaces — the Sussel Gallery and the Burton D. Morgan Gallery — preparatory spaces, and collection storage. The Art Museum presents a series of rotating exhibitions during the academic year, including an annual exhibition selected from the permanent collection of over 7,000 objects. Nationally and internationally recognized artists that have exhibited at Wooster include: Miriam Schapiro; Audrey Flack; Emma Amos; Hung Liu; Ken Aptekar; Hollis Sigler; Ann Hamilton; William Kentridge; Lorna Simpson; Jim Campbell; Mel Kendrick; Laylah Ali; Shahzia Sikander; Marcel Dzama; and Hiraki Sawa.
