Cross Country
Both College of Wooster cross country teams finished in third-place while kicking off the school’s 2008-09 athletic calendar Friday evening, as the Fighting Scots hosted the Wooster Invitational at L.C. Boles Memorial Golf Course.

Field Hockey
WOOSTER, Ohio - The College of Wooster won for the second time in as many contests and moved its season record to 2-0 for the first time since 2004, blanking visiting Centre College by a 2-0 score Sunday morning at Cindy Barr Field. The victory marks the Fighting Scots' first shutout this season, and avenges a 2-0 setback last year to the Colonels in Kentucky.

Women's Soccer
The College of Wooster women’s soccer team kicked off 2008 with a pair of dominating victories, cruising past the State University of New York at Geneseo 3-0 on Saturday and Penn State Behrend 4-1 Sunday afternoon to win the Herb Lauffer Tournament in Erie, Pa.

Searching for its first marks in the victory column on the young season, The College of Wooster volleyball team tallied a 1-3 record Friday and Saturday during the River City Tournament. The two-day, six-school event was held inside Ban Johnson Arena on Fenton Court on the campus of Marietta College.
