- Wooster has made 22 NCAA postseason appearances since
1976 and has made the Div. III NCAA Championship Tournament four times.
- The Scots finished 2nd in Div. III in 1997 and 3rd in 2005.
- Wooster is the Division III record holder for home runs in a season
with 104 (1997).
- Wooster has compiled 33 consecutive winning seasons and
posted 30 or more wins 13 straight years.
- The Scots have 12 Top-10 national finishes and were ranked No. 1 to end the regular season in 1998 & 2002, and were ranked No. 2 to end the 2005 season.
- Wooster became the first Div. III school since the 1999-2000
season (Rowan) to have its football, basketball and baseball teams
each win at least one NCAA postseason game (2004-05).
- Wooster defeated Ohio State, the eventual Big Ten champions, 9-7 in Columbus on April 24, 2002.
- Former Scot Pete Meyer (’87) lead Florida Southern Univ. to the NCAA Div. II national championship in baseball in 2005, while being named national Coach of the Year.
- The Scots have had 12 players signed or drafted by major league teams since 1970, including Jared Treadway being drafted
by the New York Yankees in 2002.
- Head coach Tim Pettorini is an eight-time NCAC Coach
of the Year and his 841 career wins ranks 10th all-time among active
Div.
III coaches.
- The Scots have won the NCAC East Division each of the
past six seasons and have captured 11 NCAC Tournament titles since
1987.
- In the past six seasons, five Scots have earned NCAC Newcomer of the Year honors, while four players have been named NCAC Player of Year & NCAC Pitcher of the Year.
- Adam Samson (’08) became the first Scot pitcher to earn First-Team All-American honors when he garnered that award in 2007.
- Sheldon Steiner (’07) became the second Scot to earn Academic All-American honors when he garnered that award in 2007.
- Jake Frank (’05) finished his Wooster career as the Scots’ all-time leader in RBIs (224) and triples (13).
- Kurt Kapferer (’06) finished his Wooster career as the Scots’ all-time leader in home runs (49); he also led Div. III in home runs (18) his senior season (2006).
- The Scots have made 22 appearances in the NCAA Tournament — the
6th most of any Div. III school.
- Luke Ullman (’05) was named NCAA Div. III National Player of the Year in 2005, becoming just the third athlete in school history to win a Player of the Year award.
- Luke Ullman (’05), Jake Frank (’05), Jon Oliver (’06) and Pat Christiansen (’08) were named All-Americans in 2005.
- Wooster was ranked No. 1 during both the 2006 & 2007 seasons in the ABCA/Collegiate Baseball Top-30 Poll.
- Wooster opened the 2007 season by winning a school-record
27 straight games.
