Game 5 - Earlham

The Scot defense allowed only 43 yards of total offense in blanking Earlham 38-0.
With a final score of 38-0 in favor of Wooster, you would think that the heroes of the game for the Scots would be offensive players. But the stars were the defensive players, which allowed only 43 yards of total offense to Earlham at John P. Papp Stadium.

The Scot defense, which came into the game ranked second in the North Coast Athletic Conference, was dominating, allowing the Quakers just 43 yards on 33 offensive plays. Wooster was especially tough against the run, allowing just two yards on 16 attempts. Seth Duerr led the defense with five tackles, including 1.5 for a loss.

Offensively, the Scots struggled to get going, leading only 7-0 at halftime and just 14-0 at the break. But in the third quarter, Wooster scored twice, including a 48-yard touchdown run by Will Schober. Schober finished with a 113 yards rushing on just 14 carries, marking the second straight week he went over 100 yards.

Quarterback Rich Judd played a solid game, completing 13-of-29 passes for 157 yards and two touchdowns, which went to Reggie Ray and Doug Laditka. Brandon Good led the Scots in receiving with six catches for 72 yards.

Wooster improved its record to 5-0 for the first time since 1978.
