![]() | Rich Judd set five school records as the Scots blasted Oberlin 77-28. |
Wooster, which raised its record to 7-1 overall and 5-1 in the North Coast Athletic Conference, posted its most points since 1906 when Wooster beat Hiram 95-0 in 1906.
Judd completed 17-of-22 passes for 414 yards and five touchdowns. He opened the scoring with a 16-yard scoring strike to sophomore tight end Kelly McFarland with 9:40 to play in the first quarter. He also hit Reggie Ray for a 56-yard touchdown, and he found his former roommate, junior Brandon Good, three times, as the pair hooked up on scoring plays of 1, 46 and 51 yards.
On the ground, sophomore David Yokley rushed for 77 yards and two touchdowns, while junior Jeff Elser rushed for 67 yards and two touchdowns.
The win set up a matchup with unbeaten Wittenberg. If the Scots could win, they would create a three-way tie in the NCAC.
