Game 2 - Kalamazoo

Rich Judd, pictured here against Wittenberg later in the season, completed 15-of-24 passes for 241 yards and three touchdowns against Kalamazoo.
Wooster's game against Kalamazoo demonstrated how far the Scot football team has progressed in four years under Head Coach Jim Barnes.

In Barnes' first game as head coach in 1995, Wooster was blanked by Kalamazoo 32-0. Now four years later, the Scots were easy 42-14 winners over the same Hornet team.

Wooster put the game away in the first quarter, as it scored three unanswered touchdowns. The Scots knew it was going to be a good day when Rich Judd connected with Reggie Ray on a 50-yard touchdown pass on their offensive play.

Kalamazoo appeared ready to respond, but Seth Duerr recovered a fumble and returned it 70 yards for a touchdown. The Hornets fumbled the ball twice more, and after the second one, Brock Wanless scored on a one-yard touchdown run to give the Scots a 21-0 lead.

In the second quarter, Judd hit Brandon Good with a six-yard touchdown pass before Kalamazoo finally scored.

In the second half, Judd hit Doug Laditka for his third touchdown pass, then freshman Kyle Mueller scored his first collegiate touchdown on a three-yard run.

Statistically, Judd completed 15-of-24 passes for 241 yards. Good caught eight passes for 110 yards, while Wanless gained 65 yards on 10 carries.
