The College of Wooster field hockey team evened its record to 2-2 with a pair of one-goal wins against Centre College and the University of the South this weekend (Sept. 6-7).

On Saturday, Wooster needed an overtime score from freshman Anlyn Addis to defeat Centre 1-0, marking the second year in a row the Scots earned an extra-session victory over the Colonels. Addis’ goal, which was assisted by Elayne Brown and came 6:57 into the overtime, was the first of her career.

Addis also scored what turned out to be the game-winner on Sunday, as her goal 7:31 into the second half gave Wooster a 2-0 edge over the University of the South. The Tigers pulled within one late in the game, but the Scot defense shutdown the University of the South the final 7:47. Alanna Tryder picked up an assist on Addis’ goal, while Katy Baron’s first-half goal was the first of her career.

After splitting four non-league games, Wooster will get into North Coast Athletic Conference action this week, traveling to Kenyon College (1-1) on Tuesday (Sept. 9) for a match, starting at 4 p.m.
