Angela Arnold tallied her third goal of the season off an assist from Anlyn Addis.

The College of Wooster used a strong defensive effort to get by Centre College on Sunday, Sept. 12, in non-conference action at Cindy Barr Memorial Field. With the win, the Scots improve to 3-2 on the season.

Wooster started the scoring in the first period, as senior Angela Arnold converted on a pass from sophomore Anlyn Addis with 19:47 to go. The score was Arnold’s team-leading third of the season.

The Scots controlled the game for the rest of the match, stopping the Colonel’s drives to the goal and giving goalkeeper Anne Leigh a break. Leigh only faced two shots on the day, both sailing wide.

Wooster will be in action next Saturday, Sept. 18, as the Scots look to win their first conference game against Earlham College at Cindy Barr Field.
