Kenyon College put home two goals in the opening half en route to upending The College of Wooster 2-0 in North Coast Athletic Conference field hockey action Saturday at Cindy Barr Memorial Field.

Wooster (3-6, 3-3 NCAC) actually outshot its visitors 9-6 in the first 35 minutes and forced eight penalty corners to Kenyon’s one, but it was the Ladies who emerged from halftime with a two-goal edge. Caroline Graham and Lauren Keiling scored unassisted with 26:51 and 11:24 showing on the clock, respectively.

In the second stanza, Kenyon (6-3, 4-3 NCAC) owned a 12-5 edge in shots, but couldn’t put one past goalkeeper Anne Leigh, who tallied eight saves for the game.

The Scots will look to rebound on Tuesday, when they travel to first-place Oberlin College (8-2, 3-2 NCAC) for a 4:30 p.m. match-up.
