NCAC to Provide Live Video and Audio of Men's Hoops Tourney
For the second year in a row, the North Coast Athletic Conference, in cooperation with local cable provider Clear Picture, Inc., will broadcast the semifinal games and finals of its men’s basketball tournament, being held at The College of Wooster’s Timken Gymnasium, live over the World Wide Web for no charge to the viewer. This Friday’s first semi will pit third-seeded Ohio Wesleyan University (17-9) versus second-seeded and No. 10 ranked Wittenberg University (22-4) in a rubber match after the two split the regular season series. Opening tip is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thirty minutes following the conclusion of that one, fifth-seeded Wabash College (11-15) will challenge the top seed and No. 4 ranked College of Wooster (23-3). Friday’s two winners will meet in the NCAC Tournament championship game on Saturday at 7 p.m., with the winner of that earning the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Div. III Tournament. To provide this service, Wooster is working with TeamLine, which requires the user to have a high-speed Internet service, the latest version of Java, and a compatible web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.
