- Head coach Jason Tarnow has led the Scots to a .500
or better record all six seasons he has been at Wooster, the best stretch
in school history.
- Head coach Jason Tarnow was named NCAC Coach of the Year
in 2004 after helping the Scots share their first-ever conference title.
- Wooster was selected to the NCAA Tournament for the first
time in 2004, falling to No. 1 Salisbury 13-2 in the opening round.
- Wooster has had two players lead the NCAC in scoring
since 1990.
- Hisham Hassan ('07) finished 5th in the NCAC in points
(3.27 ppg) and 4th in assists (1.64 apg) in 2007.
- Mark Weschler ('09) finished for second in scoring (3.64
ppg) in the NCAC as a freshman in 2006.
- Matt Biester ('08) finished second in the NCAC in save
percentage (.612) in 2006 in his first season as a starter.
- Wooster's 7-5 win over No. 12 Ohio Wesleyan in 2004 was
the Scots' first victory over the Bishops since 1982.
- Jack
Lengyl, who took over as head football coach at
Marshall Univ. following the 1970 plane crash that killed the majority
of the football team,
was the Scots' head coach for its first three seasons (1968-70).
