For the second time this spring, the College of Wooster men's lacrosse team defeated Oberlin, as the visiting-Scots topped the Yeomen 10-3 this afternoon (April 5).

Wooster took control of the game from the outset and never let up, outscoring Oberlin 3-1 in the first quarter and going on to take a 7-1 halftime lead. Defense was the theme for the second half, as the two teams' combined for just five goals.

The Scots' youthful offense again proved to be a force with first-year Colin Hartnett, sophomore Brandon Mohr, and sophomore Adam Price combining to score seven of the team's 10 goals. Hartnett threw three balls into the back of the net, while Mohr and Price added two goals apiece.

Other scores were turned in by senior Matt Nierenberg, freshman Ahren Olson, and freshman Eric Saulnier for Wooster. In addition, sophomore Ryan McNally contributed a team-leading two assists on the afternoon.

Junior John Park had another fine showing in goal for the Scots, making 14 saves to earn his third win of the year.

Wooster, which is now 3-5 on the season and remains 1-2 in the NCAC since today's contest does not factor into the league standings, will next travel to Delaware, Ohio, to battle perennial power Ohio Wesleyan (6-1, 1-0 NCAC) on Tuesday, April 11, at 4 p.m.
