The Scots mounted a fierce offensive attack that lasted from the first whistle all the way to the final whistle. Less than five minutes into the match, Wooster sophomore Colin Berdzar (Dolores, Colo.) gave the Scots their first goal off a pass from classmate Josh Bammel (Dallas, Texas), who was positioned on the left wing.
A transfer from Bethany College, Bammel added to the Wooster lead just two minutes later. Sophomore Jeff Pacini (Cleveland, Ohio / Hawken School) blasted a hard shot at Yellow Jacket goalkeeper Ed Delsky, who deflected it right to Bammel. Bammel easily tapped it into the net, giving the Scots a 2-0 lead.
Midway through the first half, Baldwin-Wallace's Adam Hill scored to cut the Wooster lead to one. The second stanza saw only one goal, as Bammel sealed the Scot victory with his second score of the game off a beautiful centering pass from Berdzar.
