Men's Soccer Unbeaten Streak Ends

Box Score

The College of Wooster men's soccer team's season-opening six-match unbeaten streak came to an end on Saturday afternoon (Sept. 16) in Richmond, Ind., as the Scots fell to Earlham 1-0 in each team's North Coast Athletic Conference opener.

For the host Quakers, who were ranked in the region to start the year, it marked their first win in four tries this fall, while Wooster slips to 4-1-2 on the season.

The match's lone goal came in the 76th minute off the foot of sophomore Marc Sampson.

Each goalie played well with Wooster senior Adam Wegner making five saves and Earlham junior Bryan Wallace stopping five shots as well.

Wooster returns to action on Wednesday (Sept. 20) when it host Kenyon in another conference match-up, starting at 4:30 p.m.
