Wooster's 1990 squad began 8-0-1 before losing its 10th match, while the program had two previous unbeaten streaks end at 11.
Against Muskingum (2-6-1), the Scots dominated play from start-to-finish, scoring three times in each half and outshooting the Muskies 17-4. In fact, Wooster freshman goalie David Treleven was not forced to make a save en route to his fourth shutout in six starts.
Offensively, senior Ryan McManus and sophomore Adam Milligan led the way with McManus tallying a goal and two assists and Milligan scoring a pair of goals. The duo scored on back-to-back penalty kicks early in the second half, and McManus helped out on a Milligan goal to make it 2-0 in the 22nd minute.
Sophomore defender David Damon got things going for the Scots with an unassisted score - his first career goal - in the 14th minute. Other tallies were produced by junior Alex Prochazka in the 32nd minute to give Wooster a 3-0 halftime advantage and sophomore Chris Sirois, who capped the scoring in the 70th minute. It also marked first career goals for Prochazka and Sirois.
The Scots return to North Coast Athletic Conference action on Saturday (Sept. 28), when they look to improve to 2-0 in league play against visiting Wabash College (4-4, 0-1 NCAC) at 2:30 p.m.
